Volunteer with Living Well

We invite you to become part of the Living Well UK Family, bring positive change to your community, and gain valuable work experience.

Living Well aims to improve our social value and complete work that benefits the Birmingham community through improving individuals' employability, supporting community projects and strengthening community ties.

To do this, we offer volunteering opportunities that allow our volunteers to improve their employability, develop new skills and contribute to their local community.

We have a number of opportunities at Living Well UK itself, with our Consortium members and external partners. Positions range from community outreach roles, administrative support, event support and specialist advisory roles, to many others.

Wish to volunteer? Please get in touch with us by email:  volunteer@livingwellconsortium.com or by telephone on 0121 663 1217 or simply click the REGISTER NOW button below.

Current and Upcoming Volunteering Opportunities

As a Living Well volunteer, you will be welcomed into a thriving community, with our volunteers receiving regular updates about our work, being included in recognition schemes and having the opportunity to socialise with other volunteers.

We accept applications for current and upcoming positions.

Current Volunteer Positions

    • Tennis Session Volunteer. Living Well UK are looking for enthusiastic and empathetic individuals to support us at our Tennis is Served programme. This involves attending sessions alongside Living Well staff to assist with equipment setup and to provide personal support and encouragement for attendees.

Upcoming Volunteer Positions

    • Walking For Wellbeing Buddy. Starting early 2024 Living Well will run regular Walking for Wellbeing sessions and are seeking friendly and empathetic individuals to attend as volunteers. As a Walking for Wellbeing Buddy, we would expect you to provide a listening ear to anyone in attendance who might want a chat. We do not expect our Walking for Wellbeing Buddies to act as counsellors, but rather should be a friendly face to our attendees.
    • Interpreters. Living Well UK welcomes any support in interpretation and/or translation from those fluent in English and an additional language. We are happy to take your application, even though there are currently no open positions available. If you would like to utilise your skills to support our work, we’d love to hear from you. This role will be shaped around your personal skillset.
