Alex D’Silva

Project Assistant

Alex graduated from University of Chester in 2013 with a BA hons in events management and worked in operational events for 2 years organising weddings, charity and corporate events.

Alex then took a bit of a career detour into the NHS and started studying again to become a healthcare assistant in general practice.

That job sparked her love for helping people and she really felt she could empathise with people of all different ages and backgrounds after having dealt with long term chronic illness since she was four.

This has led her to wanting to help clients at Living Well Consortium. She started working for Living Well Consortium in 2020 working as administration and data entry officer.

She was directly in contact with clients and helped them with their needs as they first contacted the company. Now, as Project assistant, Alex is working closely with the Executive Assistant and Office Manager to implement a Selly Oak based wellbeing café for the local student community.

In 2015 she had to have major life saving bowel surgery to remove all of her large bowel. She now has a Stoma named Flow.
