Free Sessions for Anxiety and Depression

 

Starting on the 3rd of June 2024, Living Well Consortium is offering free group sessions to support residents of Birmingham and Solihull. Led by our clinical team and guided by well trained professionals, you will not just start your own journey towards healing, but also be able to connect with people who are fighting similar battles you are.

Sessions offered include:

 

      • Building Body Acceptance 8 week course
        A guided self-help group exploring the concepts of body image and body dissatisfaction. Each week attendees will be given tasks to complete outside of sessions to address in more detail the topic that has been presented within the session. This will also allow attendees to practice implementing helpful tools and techniques into their day-to-day life.
      • Motivation and Movement Group 6 weeks
        A course tailored to improve your overall mood, increase your motivation, and support your physical fitness. The group will meet weekly for up to 90 minutes for a 2-part workshop. Each week will begin by exploring a different cognitive behavioural therapy technique to improve mood and motivation and will finish with a 30 minute full body workout using a mixture of resistance bands and bodyweight exercises. (Each client will need to complete a PARQ (physical activity readiness questionnaire) to confirm they are safe to exercise. In rare instances this might mean gaining approval from a GP before engaging in the programme.)
      • 1-to-1 Personal Training and Online Course
        An approach combining an online guided Cognitive Behavioural Therapy course (Silvercloud) with Personal Training sessions in person at Cannon Hill Park or online via teams. You will complete guided self-help modules on Silvercloud alongside meeting your Personal trainer for exercise sessions. (Each client will need to complete a PARQ (physical activity readiness questionnaire) to confirm they are safe to exercise. In rare instances this might mean gaining approval from a GP before engaging in the programme.)

 

How do I join?

Easy! Follow these 2 steps:

  1. Refer yourself though our chat bot Limbic here or by clicking his face in the bottom right corner of your screen. Limbic will guide you through the process.
    If you have already referred yourself to Living Well in the past you can skip this step and head straight to number 2.
  2. Click the Register Interest button above to let us know which session you want to attend. We aim to get back to you within 3 working days.

Please note that you have to be 18 years or above to join.
